Welcome to our Grade 1 blog we are thrilled to be your child's grade one teacher.
Here are a few things to note about our classroom and school.
School Hours: School begins at 8:07 and ends at 3:10. Please make sure your child is on time each day and at the our assigned meeting spot each day! As per social distancing guidelines a quick good bye is encouraged. This not only sets them up for a successful morning but also helps in not disrupting our classroom of learners.
Dismissal: At the end of each day we will dismiss students at our assigned designated spot. If your child goes to before/after care they will travel in a group to the gym or meeting spot.
Lunch: Please pack a healthy lunch each day for your child and provide your child with a water bottle that they can bring back and fourth. Also pack your child a snack each day for their recess break. All students belongings including their masks should be labelled for easy identification.
Indoor Shoes: All students need a pair of indoor shoes that will be kept in the classroom. Please NO LACES!! Although your child may be able to do up laces at home, students struggle with laces in the grade one classroom.
Class Blog: Check our classroom blog regularly. Important information, pictures and our classroom learning will be posted on our blog. Enjoy having your child share his or her learning with you through reading our blog together!
Grade one is an exciting year of learning! Your child will amaze you with their new skills throughout the year :)
